Removing BRZ2 Cap
By Julie In BlogIf your cap just spins when you’re trying to remove it, chances are the safety valve has not released on its own. Follow these steps to disengage it manually.
- Make sure there is no pressure in the tank. The gauge should be at 0. You do not have to wait for the machine to cool, but you must release all pressure. If there is pressure, the valve is doing its job – keeping you from removing while under pressure.
- Locate the hole in the top of the cap and press it. You may need a tool, such as the steam nozzle, for the leverage you need to depress deep enough to release the valve.
- You will feel the valve give and release when you have pressed hard enough.
- Now you can twist the cap counterclockwise to remove it.
